we offer a first class comprehensive maintenance service tailored to suit
our customers' needs. From a straightforward safety check to a complete
strip and re-build, we can have your bike back on the road, performing
like new within 24 hours.

We boast:

of cycle maintenance
Just
bring your bike to us and our mechanic will give you a free estimate
to repair it.
You'll
know right away the work that is to be required: which parts are
to be replaced if any and how much you should expect to pay.

Check-up Menu
Take advantage
of our specialised servicing facilities to keep your bike safe, in full-working
order and on the road for longer.
Basic
service: £15
This is a safety
check for your or your child's bike. The operation of your gears and brakes
will be checked and any adjustments will be made as required to ensure
your bike is in roadworthy condition before you cycle off.
Intermediate
service: £30
This will include
everything everything in the Basic Check plus all of the moving parts
of your bike are checked for operation and condition. The bottom bracket,
headset, hubs and transmission are all checked and adjusted as required.
Wheels are trued, tile pressure checked and all nuts and bolts are checked.
Full
service: £60
Includes everything
in the Intermediate Service, but we also strip the hubs, headset, and
bottom bracket, cleaning and re-greasing as we go. The drive chain is
cleaned and lubed. All cables are replaced. Braking surfaces are de-greased
and inspected for wear. Quick release skewers and seat pin are cleaned
and re-greased. Put simply, this service will make your bike ride like
new!
Wheel
Building: from £15
You choose
the rim, spokes and hub and whatever spoke pattern you desire. We do the
rest.
Suspension
Forks: from £20
All suspension
forks require regular maintenance. Each manufacturer recommends service
intervals every 20-40 riding hours. At Life Cycles we will service any
suspension fork brought to us.
Repairs
All types
of repairs are done in the workshop: from simple tube replacements to
the most complicated jobs. Fitting of mudguards, pannier racks, child
seats and much more is all within our remit. We offer the highest standard
of service available anywhere, from friendly accommodating staff dedicated
to keeping your journey safe and enjoyable.
